Overview
SMGC STRTP will help youth welcome the idea of change to increase their self-confidence and cultivate a lifetime pattern of self-improvement to improve their quality of life. The program will help youth understand the true relationship between values, attitudes, and behaviors as they relate to the decision-making process and will help the youth discover how attitude affects behavior and the tools to gain better self-control.
Mission
Operate an out-of-home placement setting that provides a nurturing family-like environment that promotes positive outcomes for children and families, builds on the child/family strengths and needs, utilizes integrated/comprehensive array of services, and supports the well-being of youth while in care and after-care.”
Vision
Stella Maris Growth Center’s vision is to serve as a “stop station” where children/youth/non-minor dependents are given an individual assessment, treated as individuals, and given the services and support needed to grow, heal, communicate effectively, expressing their cultural needs.
